Marcelo Garcia
Endless scrambles. Impossible to hold down. The greatest no-gi grappler ever.
Marcelo Garcia's style
Marcelo's game is built on butterfly guard, the X-guard he popularized, and one of the cleanest rear-naked-choke games in the history of the sport. He's small at 168 pounds and routinely beat opponents twice his size by being everywhere at once — scrambles, transitions, and submissions in chains nobody could follow.
What your answers said about you
You don't bully people. You out-move them. You'd rather solve a position three ways than dominate it one way. Your game scales because it's based on movement and timing, not strength — and people who train with you say you make their hardest rounds feel like exercise.
